A set of acrylic filters held in front of the lens to change the colour and mood of a shot.
Each filter has a different tint and behaves a little differently. Sometimes it only nudges the colours, other times it rewrites the scene. The result is never quite predictable.
The filters shape the light before it reaches the sensor, so the colour shifts and flares happen while shooting instead of afterwards. It is a small intervention between the light and the lens — not a precise tool, but one that puts part of the decision back into the moment.
