A plaster lamp built as a proof of concept for a design workshop at ECP School in Prague.
The object wasn’t the point, the process was: sketch an idea, experiment, make mistakes and try again to rebuild what had been in the head — with a limited set of materials. The students designed and made their own lamps by hand, and watched an idea change on the way from paper to reality, and how those constraints feed the work rather than block it.
Materials: 3V LED, 2× AA battery, a simple switch, wire, wooden skewers, 3D-printed connectors, masking tape, tin foil, plaster, a ping-pong ball.
